Returns & Exchanges Policy

We want you to love your Scent Society purchase. This policy outlines how returns, exchanges, and faulty items are handled, in line with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
1. Eligibility for Returns
- Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for unopened, unused items in original packaging and condition.
- For hygiene and safety, perfumes and fragrance products cannot be returned if opened or used unless defective.
- Gift sets and bundles must be returned complete.
2. Faulty or Defective Items
- If your item is defective, damaged in transit, or not as described, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number.
- Under the CPA, defective goods may be repaired, replaced, or refunded within a reasonable period, typically within 6 months of delivery.
3. Return Process
- Email us on info@scentsociety.co.za with your order number, reason for return, and photos (if applicable).
- We’ll confirm eligibility and provide return instructions and the return address.
- Package items securely. Once received and inspected, we’ll process your exchange or refund.
4. Refunds
- Approved refunds are made to the original payment method.
- Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the item was defective or sent in error.
- Please allow 5–10 business days for processing (bank times may vary).
5. Return Shipping Costs
- Customer is responsible for return courier costs for change-of-mind returns.
- We cover reasonable return costs for defective or incorrectly supplied items.
6. Exclusions
- Opened/used fragrances, items without original packaging, and clearance/final sale items (where indicated) are not returnable unless defective.
